Event Details
The Lemonheads are an American alternative rock band formed in Boston, Massachusetts in 1986. The band was originally founded by Evan Dando, Ben Deily, and Jesse Peretz, though Dando has remained the only constant member.
Their early sound was punk-influenced, but they gained mainstream popularity in the early 1990s with a more jangly pop-punk style. Their breakthrough came with the 1992 album It’s a Shame About Ray, which featured hits like Confetti and My Drug Buddy. A cover of Simon & Garfunkel’s "Mrs. Robinson" became one of their most recognizable songs.
The band went on hiatus in 1997 but reformed in 2005, releasing new music and continuing to tour. Their latest album, Varshons 2, was released in 2019. They’ve had a rotating lineup over the years, with notable members including Juliana Hatfield, Nic Dalton, and Karl Alvarez.
