Captial City Music Hall
Capital City Music Hall is a new live music venue in downtown Harrisburg, Pennsylvania. It will be located at 234 N. 2nd St., the former site of Federal Taphouse. The venue is owned by Justin Browning, who also operates JB Lovedrafts, Sawyers, and Nocturnal along the same block.
The venue aims to revitalize Harrisburg’s Restaurant Row by attracting visitors for concerts, encouraging them to dine at local restaurants, and enjoy the nightlife. It will host a variety of music genres, including bluegrass, country, folk, hip-hop, indie, punk, metal, and hardcore. In addition to concerts, the venue plans to feature comedians, author panels, filmmaker discussions, and other special presentations.
The space is undergoing renovations, including removing the exposed kitchen to make room for a stage, upgrading lighting and audio, and potentially creating a mezzanine level on the second floor. The venue is expected to accommodate around 1,000 patrons, similar to its previous use as Dragonfly nightclub
