aturdays at Your Place is an alternative emo trio from Kalamazoo, Michigan, known for their heartfelt lyrics, twinkly guitar lines, and raw, communal energy. Formed at Western Michigan University by Gabe Woods (vocals/drums), Esden Stafne (vocals/bass), and Mitch Gulish (guitar), the band quickly carved out a space in the Midwest emo revival with their debut record Something Worth Celebrating (2021).

Their follow-up EP Always Cloudy (2023) deepened their reputation for vulnerability and relatability, with tracks like “Tarot Cards” and “It’s Always Cloudy in Kalamazoo” resonating with fans across the country. In 2025, the band released their sophomore LP These Things Happen, a 10-track exploration of young adulthood, relationships, and mental health, praised for its lyrical softness and emotional depth.

With a growing fanbase and tours alongside acts like Mom Jeans, Origami Angel, and Chase Petra, Saturdays at Your Place has become a staple of the modern emo scene.
