Heavy Trip is a band that blends psychedelic 70s rock with modern stoner metal influences. Formed in early 2017 by Cole Jandrisch (guitar/vocals) and Cole Vibert (bass), the band originated from Vancouver, Canada. They initially played impromptu jams in various locations around Whistler, B.C., before relocating to Vancouver in 2018.
The band has opened for notable acts like Earthless, Acid King, and Radio Moscow, and has shared the stage with local Vancouver bands such as Black Wizard and Dead Quiet. They have had several drummers over the years, with Ben Frith joining in June 2019.
Heavy Trip recently released their sophomore album "Liquid Planet" and planning to release a vinyl repress of their debut album on Burning World Records.
