FACTION ZERO

Faction Zero is a hardcore punk and thrash metal band from Clifton, New Jersey, originally formed in 1993. The band was active throughout the New York City/Northern New Jersey scene, with members who had previously played in bands like Against The Grain, 25 Ta Life, PunkinKnuckle, Son Of Skam, and Subzero.

Faction Zero released their debut full-length album, Liberation, on IJT Records, though it is now out of print. They followed up with a split CD, War Stories, alongside NYHC band Against The Grain, released in 2003. Additionally, they put out two 7-inch records in 1995 on Division Records, which featured their original demo recordings. The band was also featured on numerous compilations, including the Oi/Skampilation Vol. 1 released by Radical Records, and even appeared on the soundtrack of the low-budget horror film Psycho Sisters.

Faction Zero reformed with its original lineup and began writing new material for a new album and is currently fronted by former Soulfly and Ill Nino guitarist Marc Rizzo.
