Aly & AJ are a pop-rock duo comprised of sisters Alyson Michalka and Amanda Joy Michalka, originally from Torrance, California and raised in Seattle, Washington. Since their debut in 2005 with Into the Rush, the pair have captivated audiences with their sharp harmonies, heartfelt songwriting, and genre-blending sound that moves between pop, rock, folk, and indie influences.

Signed early to Hollywood Records, Aly & AJ quickly rose to prominence with hits like “Rush” and “Potential Breakup Song”, the latter becoming a cultural touchstone of the 2000s. Their sophomore album Insomniatic (2007) solidified their reputation as one of the most exciting acts to emerge from the Disney era, while their later work—including Ten Years (2017), Sanctuary (2019), and A Touch of the Beat Gets You Up on Your Feet Gets You Out and Then Into the Sun (2021)—showcased a more mature, atmospheric sound that resonated with both longtime fans and new listeners.

In 2023, they released With Love From, followed by Lonesome Dove and Silver Deliverer in 2025, continuing their evolution as artists unafraid to experiment with tone and texture.
